Tips to Change Your Attachment Style to a Secure One

  • First identify which attachment style do you associate with – precisely and with clarity.
    • Study, journal and observe yourself
  • Practice to acknowledge your flaws and decide to make the improvements.
  • Accept who you are and embrace alone time.
    • Go on solo dates, observe your emotions in difficult scenarios, and be grounded during detachments.
  • Practice CARRP – consistency, availability, reliability, responsiveness and predictability in order to become a secure person.
    • Become the traits you want to expect from the other person
  • Remind yourself how awesome you are with/without anyone around you.
